The Insert Citation tool can be used as an alternative to Write N Cite.
Open the document where you want to import your references to.
Open Refworks and login. Open the folder containing the references you want to use.
Click the "Cite" icon next to the first reference you want to use
A pop-up box will appear with a copy of the reference.
Click "select", then right-click and copy the citation. Close the pop-up box. In the document, click where you want to place the citation, then right-click and paste in the citation. The citation will not yet be in its final format
If you want to select more than one reference, click on each one and they will all be saved in the pop-up box.
Then when you paste them into the document, they will appear in sequence.
Do this for each reference you want to include.
When you have finished inserting references, click on "Bibliography" then "Format document":
Select your referencing format from the drop-down menu, then click on "Select a file" and select your document:
Your document will now display with the references cited in the format you selected, and then displayed as a bibliography at the end:
You will also find a useful summary in this YouTube video from ProQuest.
