Borrowing and returning books in unstaffed libraries
Many NHSGGC libraries that are accessible out of hours already have self-issue sheets or issue cards that you can use to record any books you borrow when our sites are unstaffed. Please continue to use these, ensuring you give barcode details of the items if requested. You can find book barcodes inside the first couple of pages, near the date label. Most of our sites have Book Return bins as well: please use these to place your returns in, rather than leave them on enquiry desks.
Loan period and renewals
As of 20/3/2020, any user who has borrowed books from any NHS Scotland library should receive notifications that the loan period of each item has been extended until early June 2020. If you check your account (see below) and notice that any due dates haven't changed, contact library staff.
Soon it may not be possible to fulfil requests for books from within NHSGGC libraries and from across libraries in other NHS Scotland Boards, as access to individual libraries and library staffing levels change. Keep checking this page to find out the latest information on placing requests.
