Whilst most of the time Webropol is very straightforward, like any software it can have problems. Below is a list of the current known issues that have been reported to Webropol and have yet to be resolved.
Respondents
Webropol - like many other systems - has difficulties if a respondent's email address includes an apostrophe. For example it will create an error if a respondent's email is Charlotte.O'Neil@test.com. This is the case in both Survey and Events. At present there is no way round this, but Webropol has added it to their list of improvements.
Problems on IE11
After the latest upgrade by Webropol (on 23rd April) problems have been reported when using Surveys in the IE11 browser. The Surveys tab is not visible, and the "next" button to move to different pages in a survey is not available. We recommend that users put their surveys on a single page while this continues. Webropol are aware of the problems and are working on it. Meanwhile, please use another browser if you can.
Using eTest for digital collection of outcome measures
When using Webropol eTest module for outcome measures the points assigned to items when designing your questionnaire are not automatically used for the charts displaying average scores etc found in the Reporting tab. You will need to manually change the weighting for charts to reflect the scoring given to items. If any of the items for a question have reverse scoring you will need to manually edit your charts after exporting to correct this. The easiest way to do this is to export your chart in PowerPoint and then right click on the chart area and select edit data. A pop up data sheet will appear, you can alter the scoring for particular items and update the chart. Webropol have noted this issue and will look at it as a future development.
