The way that most people export their search results from an Ebsco search is by selecting and adding relevant references to a folder, switching to folder view and then exporting to Refworks, email or similar.
However, sometimes you might want to export all of your search results without first going through them to select the relevant ones, and this can run to hundreds of references over several pages. There's an easy way to do this in a few clicks rather than adding references to a folder a page at a time.
After you've run your search:
-
Click on the Share option at the far right of the results page toolbar and then select “E-mail a link to download exported results”
-
You’ll get taken to a form where you put in your email address - this is where the link to download your results will be sent. You also need to tick the option to have your results formated as RIS - this will let you upload them to reference managers such as Refworks or Endnote. Click on Send to complete the request.
- It might take a couple of minutes for the email to come through to you. This will contain a link which will download your file as a zip file.
- After downloading and extracting your file you can upload your references to Refworks by selecting RIS as the filter.
