Note that this guide is for adding your events to your own intranet micro-site. If you want to give your event a wider audience you can also add it to the NHSGGC Events page.
For this you will need:
- a Webropol Account and the Events module
- Author access to an NHSGGC Intranet page - if you do not have one please contact the IT helpdesk (you need to be logged into the network access this link). Note you can use other online platforms to publish your event links such as the NHSGGC website (again you will need author access) or the Clinical Knowledge Publisher (more info about this tool is available here).
STEP 1
So first step is you need to create your event, and create a link in the collect tab. More indepth guidance on how to do this is available here. Keep that page open so you have access to the weblink for when you need it. It will look something like this:
STEP 2
Now open up a new tab in your browser and go to your NHSGGC intranet page where you want to put your calendar, and put it into EDIT mode. I am using the Basic IT intranet page in this example, your page may look slightly different but the actions are the same.
In the main body of the page, type in the information that you need to give a potential attendee, try and keep it as succinct as possible, so Title, Date, Time, and Location.
Go back to your webropol tab where the collect responses web link is, highlight the weblink with your mouse, right click your mouse and select copy.
Now go to your intranet tab. Highlight the text you have just written, and click the hyperlink icon, in the pop up window, right click on your mouse and paste your weblink and tick open in a new page. Now publish your intranet page and test your link to make sure it works.
See the video below (note there is no sound):
STEP 3
If you would like to automate the provision of certificates of attendance you can do this by linking a Webropol feedback form to a certificate. This too can be done using your intranet page, although other platforms again can be used (remember the Intranet can only be accessed by NHSGGC staff so if you have attendees from outside the board you need to use a platform they can access) For more info on how to link a certifcate to a webrol feedback form have a look at this article.
