Description | The PADT helps provide a detailed documentation of a patient’s improvement, and objectively record a patient’s care. It is a clinician-directed interview, designed to assess pain relief, the side effects of treatment, the patient’s ability to function in day to day life and to spot any irregular or potentially harmful drug-related behaviour throughout their treatment. |
What permission is there | 3 Application Required |
Further Notes | The tool is owned by Dr J Schein, co-author and senior director at Ortho-McNeil Janssen Scientific Affairs. P6rescriberesponsibly.com - hosted by Janssen Pharmaceuticals - includes a legal notice page outlining explicitly that the content hosted there, including the PADT, is presented for the benefit of U.S based clinicians and makes no mention of the rest of the world. Contact with Janssen Europe has established that use of the tool is free for use by NHS Scotland, provided a letter is sent to Dr Schein agreeing to abide by certain terms and conditions. See uploaded documents for a copy of the instructions, and the limitations on making changes to the tool. |
